BEL Foundry is an autonomous division of British Engines Limited and is housed in a modern facility providing a service to a wide range of international customers for the supply of high integrity/ high quality castings.
These include many companies whose products must withstand some of the most arduous operating conditions and hazardous areas, including applications in the offshore and petrochemical industries, underground and subsea situations.
The foundry is fully equipped to handle a comprehensive range of materials including steels, iron and copper-based alloys using various coldbox techniques capable of achieving surface finishes similar to shell moulding, typically ranging from 1-50 Kilos.
In addition to producing raw castings, proof machined and fully machined components can be supplied using BEL Groupís extensive in house machining facilities, all in accordance with the strict quality requirements of ISO 9000.
At any time engineering designers can discuss casting requirements with experienced foundry technologists to ensure quality and efficiency of cast engineering components.
Overall BEL Foundry combines a unique blend of foundry craftsmanship with modern technology to supply quality castings to an increasingly demanding market.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
As an organisation BEL is totally committed to Quality throughout the manufacturing plant. The foundry Q.A. system is fully in accordance with ISO 9001:2000. We also have T(V approval to satisfy German pressure vessel legislation. In addition to this the foundry has submitted the relevant documents for NORSOK approval to one of our customers who have approved our systems and have referred them to Statoil for final approval. This degree of process control, along with the metallurgical expertise of our highly trained personnel, ensures strict performance to recognised standards.
